[Why This Topic?]

BLOG #1

What to write a blog about is hard at first. But with respect to myself and what I enjoy, I started writing down ideas and came to the conclusion to write about my life. Now that’s a broad topic, so I decided to talk about my current position. College. For me, this topic is very important, as it is the single most important stepping stone in the advancement of my life. Each week I will pick a subsection or different topic of what I think was the most impactful while I’m in college. Some ideas I have right now are changes in food, social life, fraternity life/socialization, and what a lot of people call “putting up an image”. The whole point of this blog is not only to keep the reader entertained but to provide the audience an insight into what college life is. Also, how college has changed from when they might have gone through.

Do not be afraid to ask for help. Nobody gets through college on their own.

– Michelle Obama

When I was in high school I was afraid and scared of what college would be like. The unknown was frightening, but I was excited about the advancement. I had my older brother who could tell me what lies ahead but to many teenagers, their parents and peers have not gone to college. This blog, hopefully, will act as a guide for parents and future college students.

My experiences come from a very active background. I like to go out on the weekends and party, as well as socialize in the dorms. However, academics always come first so I would pick to stay in and study for an exam vs going out with friends. I am saying this because the person who is like me is one who can be the most informed on what they might go through.
